NEW EXHIBITION - A ROAD THROUGH OUR PAST Steyning Museum has just opened its new exhibition. Entitled ‘A Road Through Our Past’, it tells the story of our local highway, the A283, and of the people who built it and use it. Many fascinating exhibits explain how the road entered our lives when it was excavated from the ruin of the old Steyning railway line enabling traffic to bypass the historic town centre. The exhibition offers interest and surprise and will inform visitors of much they did not know, although they may drive down ‘our road’ every day. No one who visits will leave without learning a host of new things which will show them the old road in a new light. The Museum is open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10.30-12.30 and 2.30-4.00, and Sunday afternoon from 2.30-4.00.
